5 Things to Check Before Renting a Property
April 27, 2026 — Eneo Team
You've found a place that looks perfect. The photos are stunning, the price fits your budget, and the location is exactly where you want to be. But before you book a viewing — or worse, commit to a lease — here are five critical things to check on every Eneo listing.
1
Location accuracy — GPS-pinned, not guessed. Every property on Eneo is pinned with exact GPS coordinates. Tap "Open in Google Maps" on any listing to see exactly where it sits. Is it really 5 minutes from the main road, or 25? The map doesn't lie.
2
Landlord response rate. On the landlord card, look for the response rate percentage. A 94% response rate means the landlord almost always responds. A low rate? They might leave you waiting after you book.
3
Photos and area details. Listings with multiple clear photos and accurate area measurements (m²) show a landlord who takes their listing seriously. Blurry photos or missing details are red flags.
4
Reviews from previous tenants. Read what others said. Did the landlord show up on time? Was the property as described? Reviews give you insight that photos can't.
5
Direct communication — call, don't just text. Once you book, you get the landlord's phone number. A quick call tells you more about the person than days of texting. If they answer promptly and sound professional, that's a great sign.
