Eneo's 3-Day Rule — How It Protects You

April 27, 2026 — Eneo Team

You've booked a property on Eneo. The landlord has your name and number. What happens next? Eneo's 3-Day Rule ensures things don't stall — and here's exactly how it works.

The Clock Starts When You Book

The moment you tap "Book This Property," a timer starts. The booking enters the system as pending. The landlord can see your name, your phone number, and when you booked — all from their My Listings dashboard.

Landlords Have 3 Days to Respond

⏰ Day 1–3: The landlord should see the booking in their Active Listings and call or contact the tenant to arrange a viewing. They can do this directly — one tap of the "Call" button opens the phone dialer with the tenant's number.

What Happens After 3 Days

If the landlord has not made contact within 72 hours, the property is automatically removed from the Explore feed. It moves to their Removed tab, and the booking status changes to "Expired."

⚠️ For Landlords: If your listing has pending bookings, you'll see a warning on the card: "If you don't contact the tenant within 3 days, this listing will be automatically removed." This keeps the platform fair and responsive.

Why We Built This Rule

Without the 3-Day Rule, a property could sit "booked" forever while the landlord ignores it. Tenants would be left waiting. The feed would fill up with unavailable listings. The rule ensures that every listing on Eneo is either actively managed or removed.

Can a Landlord Restore a Removed Property?

Yes. If a property is removed (whether by the 3-Day Rule or manually), the landlord can restore it with one tap from the Removed tab. It goes right back to Active and reappears in the Explore feed.
